ハロウィン定番曲『Monster Mash（モンスターマッシュ）』和訳

『モンスター・マッシュ（Monster Mash）』概要

ハロウィンなので、モンスター・マッシュ（Monster Mash）⤴️という定番の曲の歌詞を直訳してみました。多分どこかで聴いたことある感じだと思います。Mashed Potatoダンス⤴️というのが昔本当にあって（歌詞中のマッシュを踊ったってのがそう）、それが当時流行ってたので、そこから閃いてできたのが、この名曲『モンスター・マッシュ（Monster Mash）』。

『モンスター・マッシュ（Monster Mash）』和訳

内容は、怪物たちがマッシュポテトを踊りだして、ドラキュラ達も遠くから参加して大盛りあがり。だから、みんなも踊りに来いよって感じ。（繰り返し）部分は殆ど同じなので割愛です。歌詞がライムしてるのが分かりますね。

不気味な光景に目を留めた

私の怪物が実験台から起き上がって

そして驚くことに突然

コーラスの「クリプトキッカー・ファイブ」を引き連れて

Out from his coffin, Drac’s voice did ring

棺からドラキュラの声が響き渡る

Seems he was troubled by just one thing

一つのことで困ってるみたい

He opened the lid and shook his fist

蓋を開けて、拳を振るんだ

そして言う「トランシルヴァニアで流行ってたツイストはどこ行ったんじゃ？」

今や全てがクールさ、ドラキュラもバンドの一員だし

私のモンスターマッシュもここでは大当たり

ドラキュラのセリフ「Whatever happened to my Transylvania twist」はドイツ訛り（ルーマニア？）っぽく言ってますね（笑）　あーうー、あうあーうー♪

『クレイジー・エックス・ガールフレンド』の『Cringe』

ついでに、海外ドラマ『クレイジー・エックス・ガールフレンド』のパロディ曲『Cringe』も紹介（って、実はこれがやりたかったｗ）

ここでの「cringe」は「恥で身がすくむ」の意味なので、過去色々しでかした恥ずかしい黒歴史の方が怪物なんかより怖いって感じですね。役者が身悶えて頭を抱えるジェスチャーがそう（笑）　なかなか面白い翻案だと思います。それでは〜
