タカタのエアバッグ問題でまたプレスリリースがありましたので、今回もこれで英語の勉強。と言っても前回とダブってる箇所が結構あるので、どこをどう更新したかみるのも面白いのかもしれません。変更したということは、その英語的技術的表現がわかりづらかったとかリダンダントだとか社内外で総突っ込みが入ったとか色々理由があるはずですからね。例えば、海外営業支社から注文取れなくなるからこんなアホな証言をやってくれるなとかね。testimonyとなっているので、変なこと言ったらまずそうですし、最悪会社が傾くかもしれない。

最初に細かい言葉遣いを変えていますね。airbag failureをinflator rupture等。

次に分かるのは、リコールの歴史を振り返るところ。

2014/11/20では、

となっていたところを、今回のでは、

こういう変遷をみるのは個人的に好きでして、その人の思考が垣間見えるというか。一回提出して様々な反応を受けた上での改定版ですから。特に組織は色々な人・組織の思惑が入り混じるので。この言葉遣いだと製造に責任があるみたいじゃないか設計がそもそもおかしいんだとか、勝手に工程変えられてるんだから知らないとか自分の所属する組織を守りがち。こういう危機的状況の時は、リーダーシップを発揮して明確な目標設定をし、それに向かって全社員が一丸となるのが理想ですが。社内からアーネスト・シャクルトンは現れるんでしょうか？

いずれにせよ、タカタには是非とも頑張って頂き、これからも最高の製品を出して行って欲しいですね。
